Meet our Staff

  • Cheryl Kramer

    Administrator and MS/HS Math Teacher

    Cheryl Kramer moved to Tucson in 1987 to attend the University of Arizona where she received her B.S. in Molecular Biology and her Masters in Business Administration. She worked at the Arizona Cancer Center for 13 years before becoming a full-time stay-at-home mom. Since then, Cheryl has worked as a school secretary, interim school principal, substitute teacher, math tutor and PTO treasurer as well as being involved in numerous volunteer activities. Cheryl and her husband, Ken, have two daughters. She is so excited to be part of the FCA family and loves showing the students how God can be found in math. Psalm 139 is her life Bible passage. Mrs. Kramer will be teaching 7th grade Math, Algebra 1 and HS Matter & Energy.

  • Lucy irizarry

    Financial Manager and Teacher

    Mrs. Irizarry and her husband Joe have three children and two grandchildren. Lucy has experience in office management, presently assisting her husband Joe in the running of their own business. She has worked in the education field as a bi-lingual teacher's aide, a Spanish and History teacher, and as a Special Ed Administrative Assistant. Lucy has been one of the founding members of Faith Christian Academy since 2008. She has held multiple positions on the School Board and is now the Administrative Assistant and Finance Manager at FCA. "It has been a true blessing for me as well as my family to be part of FCA".  Mrs. Irizarry is currently teaching Business Math.

  • Leisa Seals

    Teacher:  History, Geography, Art and Life Skills

    Mrs. Seals was born in Wyoming; however she has lived in Tucson since she was 18 months old. She and her husband Randy have two daughters and two granddaughters. Leisa studied music for three years at the U of A. She focused on History and Art for four years at Pima college where she earned her Associate's Degree in General Studies. Her heart's desire is to serve God where she can freely share her love of the Lord. "The Lord opened the door for me at FCA, and I haven't looked back. I am grateful and privileged to have this opportunity." 

  • Naomi Osterbaan

    Teacher: Middle School Language Arts and History

    Mrs. Osterbaan is an ACSI and AZ State certified teacher. She has been teaching for twenty years, ranging from Kindergarten to 9th grade with most of her teaching experience being in Christian schools. Naomi has two children and a husband who fully supports her teaching at FCA. "Being at FCA is a pleasure. Students are eager and willing to learn, parents are supportive and friendly, and it is a delight to work with the staff. The atmosphere at FCA is Christ centered and I feel honored to come each day." Mrs. Osterbaan teaches Language Arts and History.

  • Lisa LaRoque

    Teacher: Middle School Science and 6-7th Grade Bible

    Mrs. Lisa LaRoque is a Tucson native. She and Chris were married in 1990 and have three children and one grandchild. Lisa has Associates degrees in Early Childhood and General Science. She has been teaching in Christian schools since 2008, ranging from Preschool to High School classes. Lisa joined FCA in 2017. She loves being able to share Christ with her students along with the academics. 

  • James Purdy

    Teacher: H.S. and M.S. American History and Keyboarding/Computers

    Jim Purdy has Bachelor Degrees in Business as well as Theology and a Masters degree in Organizational Management. He has been married to his wife Amy since 1974 and they have one daughter. He has served in various ministerial positions for over 30 years as well as being a teacher in both public schools and here at FCA. Jim has also been a high school sports referee for 40 years, officiating games throughout southern Arizona. His life Scripture is “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the children of God! (I John 3:1).  Mr. Purdy is also the staff sponsor for our Performing Arts Club.

  • Aaron Posey

    Teacher: Middle School Math

    Mr. Aaron Posey joined FCA in 2019 to teach Geometry and Pre-Calculus.  His currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics.  Aaron has a passion for teaching STEM related curriculum to the next generation.  He is also a professional magician and has used this skill to create a fun, engaging and interactive show for grade school children across southern AZ in his spare time.  This show integrates magic and illusion with science, math and technology Aaron has been married for 18 years to his lovely wife and high school sweetheart, Melissa. He also has a wonderfully charming 12 year old son, Luke. Outside of work and school, Aaron, Melissa and Luke spend time hiking, rock climbing, and enjoying StarTrek. 

    Aaron's favorite scripture is Matthew‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬  “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

  • Kenneth Kramer

    Teacher: 11-12th Grade Bible and Middle School Math

    Mr. Ken Kramer is a Tucson native who graduated form the U of A with a B.S. in Planning and Regional Development. He minored in business and finance. He has worked in construction and finance.  In 2019, Mr. Kramer retired from 20 years in Federal Law Enforcement.  Mr. Kramer started at FCA volunteering his time as the Cross Country Coach in 2018.   He taught American Government and Economics at FCA during the 2019-2020 school year.  Mr. Kramer is married to Mrs. Cheryl Kramer and together they have two daughters.  

  • Lisa Lewis

    Teacher: Spanish 1, 2, and 3, Language Assistance, and HS Bible

    Lisa Lewis is a third generation missionary kid who was raised in the jungles of South America.  She attended Bible College where she met her husband, Kevin.   They were married in 1986 and they have three grown children.  Lisa served alongside her husband and children for 23 years as a missionary in Colombia and Venezuela, South America and as well as in Mexico.  She has a heart for Latinos and has a passion for all people to come into a relationship with Jesus Christ.  She and Keven moved here to Tucson in 2016.  Both continue serving the Lord, in ministry here in Arizona.  Lisa taught Spanish at FCA part-time in the past and we are so blessed that she joined us full-time this year.   Her desire is to be used by God in the lives of the students.

    One of her many favorite Bible verses is: Psalm 138:8 “The LORD will complete what his purpose is for me.  LORD, your gracious love is eternal; do not abandon your personal work in me." (ISV) 

  • Michelle johnson

    Teacher:  Language Arts 9-12, Journalism/Yearbook, Bible 8

    Michelle Johnson is new to our school this year.  Michelle is teaching High School English and Journalism, as well as Bible to eighth graders.  She has an Associates degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  She and her husband have been married for 31 years, and are the parents of 5 children, who are now young adults.  She homeschooled for 20 years, and taught co-op classes in history, language arts, art, and art history prior to the opportunity to teach full time at FCA. She loves to read and her recent favorite pastime is to listen to an audio book, while painting complex paint-by-number pieces.  

    Her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
